Hey, folks! Peter here!
First, we wanted to apologize for the lack of a blog post last Tuesday. Last week was Canada Day, so we decided to take a break that day. So to all that aren’t Canadian, you’ll be pleased to know that we’re still around.
ConBravo! is less than two weeks away, and we’re pretty excited. We’ll be debuting PPC Volume 2 this year, so if you want yourself a copy, we’ll be selling them along with a bunch of merch including new t-shirts. We’ll even have the first two issues of Maddy available, too!
ConBravo! will be in Hamilton, ON, Canada and will be happening from Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 20th. According to the website, we’ll be in the Artist Alley at Booth #D04. If you’re going, come on by and say hello!
Also, one more thing! Lucky and I are working on a new comic idea and we thought we’d show you a preview of what’s to come later into the future. Like PPC, this is mainly a Lucky scribed tale (with me in the illustrator’s seat), but you’ll notice that it’s a very different beast when compared to our action-adventure graphic novel series. Hopefully once it’s out, you’ll be able to appreciate it for what it is.
It’s coming up to convention season. As of right now, Peter and I only have one confirmed convention we’ll be attending, and it’s not Fan Expo. Though we found moderate success at Fan Expo, we would like to build a larger audience before going back. Smaller cons and expos will be on the menu until then.
Due to busy schedules and restrictions, ConBravo in Hamilton for July is the only confirmed con we have planned. In the meantime; we’ve been gearing up towards production of Volume 2 with script revisions and character designs (which we’ll post as soon as all the characters are decided on). We’re also listing the merch we’ll have available at ConBravo. Especially the book.
Another priority is the initial scripting of Volume 3 which will be the definitive volume of the three part saga. It really is funny how characters and situations evolve as one tells a story. Original concepts once meant to be fleshed out is cut from the story and other elements added to give the story more breadth.
Stay tuned, Peter and I have something special planned for next week’s post. And remember, pick up a copy of the book in the store today.
Here’s a quick preview of some buttons we’re going to be selling at FanExpo Canada this year. There’s a list of artworks and trinkets and things we’re planning to sell at our table, but we’re going to keep our stock list of items as a bit of a surprise! If you’re curious about what else we’ll have to sell, you’ll just have to find us at our table in the Artist Alley! We’ll have the actual table number for you sometime within the next week or so.
What we can share with all of you is that we’re very excited for FanExpo this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there!
